FAQs
Are you accepting new patients?
Yes, I am accepting new patients for telehealth appointments. At this time, I am generally able to schedule you for a new assessment within a week.
What are your fees?
Fees are based on the type, time and length of appointments.
New Patient Assessment (90 minutes):$425
Follow-ups (45 minutes): $300
Follow ups (25 minutes): $200
Are you seeing patients over telehealth?
Yes, I am currently only seeing patients over Zoom, which is a secure and HIPPA-compliant platform. To participate in Zoom sessions, you will need to be physically located in the State of Michigan for our appointments.
What age range do you treat?
I work with patients who are eighteen and older.
Do you accept insurance?
No, I am not in-network with any insurance plans, Medicaid, or Medicare. To provide confidential and customizable treatments to address your specific needs, I operate on a fee for service model.
Can I use "out of network" benefits?
Reimbursement from your insurance company for your visit will depend on what out-of-network benefits you have. I would encourage you to call your insurance company to find out if you have “out-of-network” benefits. During the call, you can ask if you have a deductible for any out-of-network benefits so you have the information ahead of time. If you are eligible for out-of-network benefits, you will receive a “superbill” to submit to your healthcare company for reimbursement. Please be aware that I am unable to guarantee whether your insurance company will reimburse you for out-of-network treatment.
Can I use an FSA or HSA?
Patients with flexible spending accounts (FSA) or healthcare savings accounts (HSA) may be eligible to utilize these funds to pay for appointment fees. Please contact your FSA/HSA plan for more information, as they will be able to tell you what types of costs are eligible under your plan.
How secure is my personal information?
Baruch Psychiatry values your privacy and takes data security seriously. Baruch Psychiatry uses Zoom for appointments, a HIPPA compliant technology. Dr. Baruch uses SimplePractice for record keeping, an Electronic Medical Record platform that encrypts healthcare information. Dr. Baruch documents only medically necessary information in the electronic record. Your psychiatric records remain entirely private from your insurance company if you do not choose to request out-of-network benefits.
What mental health conditions do you NOT treat?
Baruch Psychiatry is a small private practice focused on therapeutically partnering with individuals seeking personal growth and overcoming roadblocks. Some mental health conditions require a multidisciplinary approach that this solo private practice is not set up to offer, including:
-
Treatment of minors (<18 years old)
-

-
Schizophrenia
-
Autism Spectrum Disorder
-
Dementia
-
Persistent suicidal thoughts and behaviors
